OPI MEXICO CITY
Welcome to the OPI Mexico City collection! This collection features twelve new shades all inspired by the bright and festive shades of the city.
For this collection OPI partnered with a native Mexican artist named Sofia Castellanos, who is known for her illustrations and murals. Her artwork is featured on select packaging throughout the campaign.
The formula was good with these. Most of the light shades tended to be three coats and the medium and dark shades were just two coats.
Hue is the Artist? is a very pale lavender creme.
Verde Nice to Meet You is a turquoise green creme. This should have been three coats but two was used, which you can tell doesn’t cover that well.
My Chihuahua Doesn’t Bite Anymore is a vivid orange creme.
Mariachi Makes My Day is a deep purple creme.
Mi Casa Es Blue Casa is a bright *almost* cobalt blue creme.
Suzi’s Slinging Mezcal is a gold metallic with shimmer.
Mural Mural on the Wall is a coral with specks of gold flake glitter. These shades represent what can be thought of when thinking of the city.
After swatching them you can say these are all nice shades but the favourites are Mexico City Move-Mint (though it looks more sky blue than mint), Coral-ing Your Spirit Animal, Telenova Me About It, My Chihuahua Doesn’t Bite Anymore and Mi Casa Es Blue Casa.
OPI Mexico City has released these out on their site. However check out CJ Supply's Nail Polish Favourites.
Which of these do you love?
